Maps from Philadelphia
On Sunday, September 20, 2009 the HDMA attended the Philly Zine Fest to collect maps. In collection CC.3a, we shared a set of maps documenting Philadelphia. Here is a collection of maps from the day featuring a variety of different locations and approaches to map making. It includes fictional locations such as Subkultura, a place where Racquel lives out novels that exist only in her mind, a map detailing various miseries of life, and a picture honoring a grade school mnemonic device for remembering the cardinal locations (Never Eat Shredded Wheat).
Few people included their names so most maps are "anonymous." If you'd like to claim your map, send an email to info@handmaps.org or message us on twitter.
